Dutch Dakar Experience 2015

Placed on 28/05/2015

On Friday 10th and Saturday 11th April, VB-Airsuspension organised the Dutch Dakar Experience for the second time in collaboration with our partner Veth Automotive. The 2015 edition of the event was a huge success; Friday was a fantastic day, partly due to the beautiful weather! Unfortunately Saturday's weather wasn't quite as cooperative, but luckily this did not deter the guests.

Friday 10th April – VB-Airsuspension Partner Days

On Friday 10th April, VB-Airsuspension organised the "VB-Airsuspension Partner Days" for the first time.
VB-Airsuspension importers from all over the world travelled to the Netherlands to take part in the event.

On Thursday 9th April, the partners were welcomed at the VB-Airsuspension head office in Varsseveld. Here they were given a tour of the company and a short presentation on changes within the organisation. At the end of the day, the whole group travelled to the hotel where they dined together in the evening.

The following morning everyone had breakfast together on the way to the EVM19 events park in Maurik. To start the day off, the partners were given a presentation on new VB-Airsuspension products and changes to processes.

The afternoon was then spent having a bit of fun. Partners had the option to go on a tour of the Betuwe region in vehicles from various categories, or they could try their hand at off-road driving and co-driving real Dakar trucks. The icing on the cake was a ride on a RIB (rigid inflatable boat), which sped across the water at approx. 100 km/h. VB-Airsuspension has received positive feedback from several partners and can look back on a very successful first edition of the VB-Airsuspension Partner Days.

Below is a photo of the partners that attended the VB-Airsuspension Partner Days.

Saturday 11th April

On Saturday the focus was on our Dutch relationships and making new contacts. In the morning a presentation was given to our commercial vehicle dealers by Benelux Account Manager Michael Brilman. Again, the focus of the afternoon was on our Dutch partners having a good time. Trial and endurance demonstrations were taking place on the terrain, and our partners had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of 4x4s and pick-ups as well as to co-drive Dakar vehicles driven by professional drivers. Although the weather wasn't as good as it was on Friday, we received extremely positive feedback!

VB-Airsuspension and Veth Automotive can look back on a successful event.

Special thanks go to all our partners who made this event possible.
We would also like to thank the Dakar teams for loaning us their trucks.
